The Ecology and Management of Tanzanian Forests Introduction The moist forests of Tanzania are one of the world's top biodiversity hotspots. In addition to being of international importance for biodiversity conservation, they are of national importance as areas of water catchment and of local importance for both the supply of forest products and cultural reasons. The information presented in this section is largely archival. The aim is to make available a series of reports on eastern Tanzanian forests that are of limited circulation.
